Yellow Fever vaccine and certificate

At Fairlop Pharmacy, the cost of the Yellow Fever vaccination is £75. This price includes the vaccine itself and your official International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis, also known as an ICVP or “yellow card”.

This certificate is internationally recognised and may be required when travelling to, or arriving from, a country where yellow fever is a risk. You should keep it safely with your passport and travel documents.

Your yellow fever certificate becomes valid 10 days after vaccination, so it is important to book your appointment well before you travel. Once valid, the certificate usually lasts for life, meaning most travellers will not need a booster dose for future trips.

What happens during your appointment?

During your appointment, our trained pharmacy team will check your travel plans, destination requirements and medical suitability for the yellow fever vaccine. We will ask a few health screening questions to make sure the vaccine is appropriate for you.

If suitable, you will receive the vaccination in the pharmacy and be issued with your official International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis at the same appointment.
